On May 28, according to reporter Max Lewis, 24-year-old Pacers fan Fink was arrested for stabbing two Knicks fans while watching the second game of the Eastern Conference Finals at a bar in Carmel, Indiana.
In an interview with two victims, they claimed that Fink took the initiative to approach them at the bar. According to reports, Fink "slapped one of the victims' Knicks hat to the ground" and then came outdoors, shouting to the two of them, "Go to yours, do you still have any problems? During an inquiry by police, Fink said the two Knicks fans were "swearing" and claimed that the other party was the first to stir up the dispute. He claimed that one of the fans pushed him to the ground and "started to beat him in the face", and he then "removed the folding knife from his hoodie and swung it toward the back of (one of the fans) with his right hand."
