A letter from the Mavericks owner to fans: The whole team cannot accept this bad start

November 12 According to ESPN reporter Shams, Mavericks owner Dumont will fire team general manager Nico Harrison at today's meeting.
Today, Mavericks owner Patrick Dumont wrote an open letter to fans after firing Harrison:
Dear Mavericks families:
On May 30, 2024, we won the Western Conference Championship. Although we failed to reach the top in the NBA Finals, we all agree that the future is full of hope. As loyal fans of this team, you have every right to ask us to fight for the championship with all our strength.
We originally had high hopes for this season, but everyone in the Mavericks could not accept this poor start. You have high expectations for the team, and so do I. It is my responsibility to take action when results do not meet expectations. I have decided to part ways with General Manager Nico Harrison.
Although most of the 2025-26 season schedule has not yet been played, I also know that the players are always committed to creating a winning culture, but this decision is crucial to pushing the team in the right direction.
I understand the profound impact of the difficult past few months. Please know that I am fully committed to leading the Mavericks to success.
Thank you for your support, thank you for your supervision, and thank you for your enthusiasm and patience. You deserve a team with transparent operations and the same spirit. Our goal is to bring the Lady Victories back to Dallas and win a championship. Our family will always adhere to this mission and invest more efforts in the future of the Mavericks.
Please join me in continuing to cheer for the hard-working team members on the field and shout out for all the workers behind the scenes.
Come on, Lone Ranger!
