Brownie: I am more likely to get sick after experiencing cardiac arrest. I don’t like being followed by me.

A few days ago, Lakers guard Brownie James admitted in an interview with ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin that he is now "more prone to illness" since his cardiac arrest. "I'm really more likely to get sick now, which is a little strange, but I think it may have affected my immune system. Sometimes I have to be absent from illness, and the physical fitness I'm working on is also exhausted within that week."

Browney suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at USC two years ago due to a congenital heart defect. He then underwent surgery with a surgical scar about six inches long in the center of his chest. As the son of LeBron James, Brownie has always been in the spotlight because of his father's fame, and he actually doesn't like to be overly paid attention.

"If you know me, you know I don't really like the attention of those highlights," said Brownie. "Although it's a great experience to be the first father-son combination in history to appear in the NBA at the same time, I'm a very low-key person. I don't like those things. Although these are included, I don't like looking back... Of course, I'll watch some games I play well, especially those who have more minutes, but I won't look back specifically."

Lakers coach JJ Redick hopes that 20-year-old Brownie will be a player like Heat defender Daveen Mitchell and Pacers defender T.J. McConnell.

Redick commented: "They are fully committed in every offense or defensive round - they influence the game through their own fighting spirit, from the pressure of the defensive starting point, the destruction of rhythm, to the ability to break through the ball... We have seen these shining points in Brownie. To get to the next level, the key is his physical condition. I understand that he has experienced a very terrifying thing, which will make him difficult for certain stages on the psychological level, but he will break through. He will definitely reach that height."

Browney played 27 games for the Lakers last season, of which he performed well against the Bucks on March 20, scoring 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals, 7 of 10 shots, 2 of 4 three-pointers, and 1 of 1 free throw.
