Jaylen Brown calls Belinelli the hardest player to defend: He always runs and often beats me

Basketball

Celtics star Jaylen Brown said on the live show that he has played against many excellent players in nine NBA seasons, but no one has given him a headache more than Belinelli.

Brown said: "Berlinelli, he used to beat me up. He just kept running, and I had to chase him. Our team's defensive tactics were to chase me through various covers. Even if he didn't get the ball, he was still running back and forth, so you never know when he would suddenly start at full speed and catch the ball."

However, Belinelli never played any amazing game against Brown's Celtics. The Italian player's best performance against Brown came on November 6, 2017, when he scored 19 points for the Big Hawks (6 of 10 shots), but the Hawks lost to the Celtics 107-110.

In the 2007 NBA Draft, the Warriors selected Belinelli with the 18th pick. He has achieved some success with the Hawks and several other teams in the league, but the most impressive thing is his time with the Spurs. He played for the Spurs twice and helped the team win the championship in 2014.

In 2020, Belinelli bid farewell to the NBA after leaving the Spurs for the second time and returned to Italy to join Bologna Vitus. He played for five seasons on this team that started his career and announced his retirement after helping the team win the 17th league championship in team history in 2025.

Berlinelli played for nine teams in the NBA for 13 seasons, averaging 9.7 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.1 blocks per game.
