In the early morning of August 20, the WNBA Dallas Flying Wings officially announced that Li Yueru will miss the remaining games of the 2025 season due to a sprain of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) on his left knee. The statement said that Li Yueru's old knee injury was pressed against the Sparks on August 16.

After being traded to the Dallas Wings this season, Li Yueru played 22 games, averaging 20 minutes per game, scoring 7.4 points and 5.8 rebounds. In the away game against Indiana Fanatic last week, Li Yueru came on as a substitute for 26 minutes, made 7 of 14 shots, scoring a career-high 20 points in the WNBA, helping the team narrowly defeat their opponents 81-80. Li Yueru also became the third player in the history of the Chinese women's basketball team to score more than 20 points in a single game in the WNBA, the first two are Zheng Haixia and Han Xu.

Before this injury, Li Yueru had joined the Turkish Women's Basketball Super League Mersing team and was originally planned to go to Türkiye to participate after the end of the WNBA season.
