Lillard: Loyalty is more important to be the truest self, not just loyal to a certain team.

August 9: Lillard recently held an elite training camp in Phoenix, and talked about Phoenix Suns star Booker.

Book's first All-Star game was in 2020, when the injured Lillard appointed Booker to replace him in the All-Star game. The reporter asked Lillard if he thought Booker would make such great progress later.

In response, Lillard said: "I always think that his talent is outstanding, but everyone in the NBA has talent. Until the team handed the 'key' to you, you have to ask yourself if you can withstand such a great deal of pressure, whether you can still compete when you are reluctant, and whether you can withstand failure. Not everyone can do this, even the most talented person may not be able to do it. I can't say that he has the achievements today, but I really can't say that I expected it. I think he has the ability and is very happy to see him do it."

Booker played for the Suns in his career, and Lillard played for the Trail Blazers most of his career. When asked about his opinion on loyalty, Lillard said: "I think loyalty means being the truest self, not just being loyal to a certain team. I think he did this, he firmly sticks to what he wants to achieve. It has nothing to do with what other people are doing. He insists on what he wants to do and is firmly himself, and I think that's the most important thing."
