Los Angeles legend! Sparks will retire Candice Parker s No. 3 jersey and once led the team to win the championship
June 30th: The Los Angeles Sparks will retire her No. 3 jersey for the team legend Candice Parker in the game against Chicago Sky at 4 a.m. It is worth mentioning that Chicago Sky is also a team that Parker once played for.
From joining Spark as the No. 1 pick in 2008, she left the team after the end of the 2020 season and played for the Sparks for 13 seasons. She played in 337 regular season games, and averaged 16.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.6 blocks per game. During this period, she won two WNBA regular season MVPs (one of which was the rookie season), and led the team to win the championship in 2016 and was elected as the MVP in the Finals.
After leaving Sparks, she joined Chicago Sky in 2021 and won the championship, and helped Las Vegas ace win the championship in 2023. He then officially bid farewell to the arena and transferred to a sports commentator.
