Rocket Suns negotiations stall for several days! Famous reporter said that Houston still wants KD: But it must be based on their price

On June 22, the Rockets were considered one of the teams that were most likely to trade Kevin Durant, and they were one of three of them on the list of Durant's favorite next homes leaked to the media last weekend. However, on the latest podcast show, TA famous reporter Sam Amik revealed that the Rockets and the Suns have not discussed Durant's deal for several days.

Amik said: "I learned yesterday that the Rockets had not contacted the Suns since last week and that call was not going well. Of course, things may have changed now, so I emphasize that this is what happened as of yesterday. They (the Rockets) would love to get Durant, but at their price."

The Suns seemed to be in a stalemate with several teams in Durant's trade negotiations. The Suns reportedly were not satisfied with the offers from the Rockets, Spurs, Heat, Timberwolves, Raptors and other teams, who believe that these offers would not be rewarding enough for players like Durant.

Earlier this week, an Amik and Jon Claucinsky report said the Rockets had made a "confirmed offer" for Durant. Although details of the offer have not been officially disclosed, this may be the highest offer General Manager Raphael Stone is willing to give in the current situation.

Although Durant still maintains an All-Star performance, his age and contractual situation limit the price his competitors are willing to pay. He will turn 37 in September and is about to enter the final year of his current contract with an annual salary of $54.7 million. He is eligible to sign a two-year contract extension with the new team, but he has said he will only consider signing long-term contracts with the Rockets, Spurs or Heat.

Rockets Dubos said that Stone hopes to get Durant in the deal, but only if the deal is in line with the team's short-term and long-term interests. He won't bet on the team's future for a player close to the end of his career, so he hopes the Suns' asking price will eventually drop.

Suns record Gambadoro reported that the Suns are unlikely to agree to a Durant deal with Houston unless Jabbarry Smith is included. Gambadoro also said the Suns are willing to extend the trade negotiations beyond the draft if they don’t get the offer they like.
