The Lakers, son of the founder of Europe, sign an EX-10 contract with point guard Matthew Leonis
June 27th, the 2025 NBA Draft has come to an end.
According to Jonathan Givony, St. Mary's point guard Augustus Matthew Leonis is about to sign an Exhibit10 training camp contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The two-time WCC Player of the Year missed a pre-draft trial due to a foot injury but is expected to recover in late July.
His father is Sarunas Matthew Leonis, a former professional basketball player in Lithuania. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest international players and one of the first European players to enter the NBA. Maculionis was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014 and the International Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015. He also brought the "European Step" to the NBA.
