Official: Majorca goalkeeper Grave joins Lyon, with a maximum transfer fee of 5.25 million euros

Hupu, August 18th, Lyon Olympic Club officially announced that Slovakia's national goalkeeper Dominic Grave officially joined, and has been transferred to Mallorca in La Liga. The contract period lasts for four seasons until June 30, 2029.

The transfer fee is 4 million euros, with a floating bonus of up to 1.25 million euros, and a 15% share of the future transfer value-added part.

Dominic Grave, who was born in Slovan, his hometown team, Bratislava, started his career in the 2015/2016 season and quickly grew into one of the key players of the most successful club in Slovakia. In six seasons, he made 132 appearances, won three league titles, four domestic cup championships, and won two Best Goalkeeper Awards.

The 28-year-old Slovak international (5 appearances) transferred to Majorca in 2021 and led the team to the Copa del Rey final in the 2023/24 season. He ushered in one of his best career performances last season, making 31 appearances in the league, helping Mallorca build one of the most solid defenses in La Liga.

Grave, 1.97 meters tall, has now officially joined the Lyon Olympics, continuing the footsteps of his compatriot, Slovak football legend Yan Popluhar. This senior played for Slovan and Lyon Olympics in Bratislava and became part of the club's history from 1968 to 1970.
