Paris Official: Asensio joins Fenerbahce and signs a long-term contract with the latter

Hupu September 1st, Paris Saint-Germain officially announced that Marco Asensio officially transferred to join the Turkish club Fenerbahce. The 29-year-old Spanish striker signed a long-term contract with his new owner.

Asensio was born in Mallorca youth training and made his first-team debut in the 2013-2014 season. In the summer of 2015, he transferred to Real Madrid and was loaned to Espanyol and contributed two goals and one assist in his first game for the Catalan. After returning to Real Madrid in 2016, he played for seven seasons, played 286 times, scored 61 goals and sent 32 assists. During this period, he won many honors including 3 La Liga championships, 2 Spanish Super Cups, 3 Champions Leagues, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups and 1 Copa del Rey. At the national team level, Asensio was selected for the Spanish national team for the first time in 2016, participated in the 2018 World Cup, and once again went out in the 2022 Qatar World Cup and scored a goal.

In the summer of 2023, Asensio joined Paris Saint-Germain, and made a total of 47 appearances for the team in the two seasons, contributing 7 goals and 11 assists, and helped the team win the "triple crown" of the Ligue 1, the French Cup, and the French Super Cup, as well as the French Super Cup in Qatar in January 2025.
