Pellegrini: We played very well in the first half, and the score did not reflect the gap between the two teams

Pellegrini:

We played very well in the first half, we were even better, scored a goal, and had another chance or two. The second half was greatly affected by substitutions. Chelsea caused more damage on our left and they reversed the game in minutes.

Ricardo also controlled the left area. They didn't cause harm to us on that side, but the injury happened and we couldn't keep the pace we expected. This is a difficult opponent. I don't think the final big score reflects the gap between the two teams.

We want to seek equalization. Not achieved. We are extremely proud of our fans who consistently support us. We wanted to bring them the joy of winning the finals, but we failed to replicate the performance in the first half in the second half.

We must start from scratch next season. Form a lineup that is as competitive as possible. We'll see to what extent it can be formed. I think it is worthy of recognition to reach this final this year and enter the European arena again.
