Post: Manchester United expects to award Cunha No. 10 jersey and hold preliminary negotiations with Mbemo

May 27th, the Daily Mail reported that Manchester United is expected to award the No. 10 jersey to Cunha and simultaneously chase Brentford winger Mbemo.

It is reported that although Amorin will use Cunha as his first signing this summer, Manchester United is still pursuing Brentford's Mbemo. Manchester United has reached an agreement with Cunha on a five-year contract (including one-year renewal option) and is ready to provide it with a No. 10 jersey. However, they have not activated the Brazil international's 62.5 million termination clause for Wolves, which will be paid in three installments within two years (£20.85 million per issue). Manchester United is about to make an official offer, and Cunha may go to Manchester for a medical examination by this weekend.

25-year-old Cunha will occupy one of two No. 10 positions in Amorin's 3-4-2-1 system, and after preliminary negotiations with Mbemo's team, he became one of the candidates for another position.

Brentford Frank admitted last weekend that Brentford would consider other teams' offer to Mbemo, with a transfer fee of about £50 million plus additional terms.

At the same time, Manchester United is also seeking to introduce a center, but Chelsea is one step ahead in the competition for Drapp Jr. The Ipswich striker can leave the team through a £30 million termination clause.

Due to the missed £100 million in Champions League prize, Manchester United needs to raise recruitment funds this summer by selling players. The team arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Monday to start the pre-season tour, which will bring £8 million to the club. Several forwards, including Garnacho, Rashford, Anthony and Sancho, may leave the team.

Bruno Fernandez is still considering a three-year £200 million contract offer issued by Saudi club Riyadh Crescent. Although Manchester United tried their best to retain the captain, they would be unable to refuse if they received a offer of about 100 million pounds.

With Eriksen, Lindelof and Evans leaving the team on June 30, the number of players leaving Old Trafford this summer may reach double digits.
