Goodwin is 33 years old and has played for Adelaide United many times. He has won one Australian Cup and one Australian Super League championship with the team. He has played for the team 163 times, contributing 57 goals and 34 assists.
In September 2023, Goodwin joined Saudi Mecca from Adelaide United. He played in 28 games this season, contributing 6 goals and 7 assists, and his contract expired on June 30. Adelaide United officially announced that Goodwin will return and the two sides will sign a contract for three years.
