September 18th According to Spanish media EFE, former chairman of the Barcelona club, Rossel and Bartomeu appeared in court for trial and investigation in the case of Negrera.

Former Barcelona presidents Rossel and Bartomeu will appear in court as the subject of the investigation, and they will be questioned by the judge in the Negrera case. The case aims to clarify the reasons for the more than 7 million euros received by former Vice-Chairman of the Judgment Technical Committee from Barcelona between 2001 and 2018.

In addition, the Barcelona court also summoned former Barcelona sports director Albert Soler, former executive director Oscar Grau and Negrera's son and wife, and the judge demanded that they appear in court this morning.

So far, the only person to testify in court is Negrera himself. Last March, the judge summoned him to testify but claimed he had dementia and tried to withdraw from the case on the grounds of poor mental state, but failed.

The first to be tried will be Negrera's son, allegedly the lead author of more than 600 referee reports commissioned by Barcelona, designed to understand the personal profile of referees in the upcoming game of law enforcement and referee decisions that may affect the team.

The two former presidents and two former club executives will then appear in court, and finally Negrera's wife. She was charged for alleged money laundering because €3 million was found in her account, which investigators believe may have come from Barcelona's accounts.

As these interrogations proceed, the Negrera case entered the end of the investigation phase. In November, the judge will also call Barcelona's current chairman Laporta and former coaches Luis Enrique and Valverde to appear as witnesses.

Although Negrera also received payments from Barcelona during Laporta's first time as club president (2008-2010), the judiciary finally decided not to file charges against Laporta because these payments had passed the statute of limitations.
