Hupu, October 17th, Chelsea legendary captain John Terry and team’s famous midfielder Mikel recorded a live program this week, and they defended Abramovich.

In the past three and a half years, Abramovich has been out of public view and has basically withdrawn from public view. Terry, who captained Chelsea and was a key player for much of Abramovich's tenure, slammed the 58-year-old for his treatment of his former boss.

"I think what happened to him is disgusting," Terry said during a live broadcast of TheObiOne podcast, co-hosted by former Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel.

Terry's remarks won cheers and applause from the audience. He continued: "What he did during lockdown and for the NHS was amazing, keeping Stamford Bridge open to all nurses and providing a place for people to live in during that difficult time. "He was a really lovely man who loved our football club, Thank God he made the right decision to leave another football club and come to us."

Terry's later comments were about Abramovich being linked with a takeover move from Tottenham before joining Chelsea, with Mikel echoing the sentiment and recounting a poignant example.

"Romain is such a person, he cares about everyone; including players and fans. I remember when my dad was kidnapped, I received a call from him.

He cared about me and said to me: 'Mikel , what do you need? Do you know how to bring your father back? '

I said, 'I don't know, I haven't talked to the kidnapper yet.'

He said, 'Okay, listen, if you. If you allow, give me 24 hours and I will go and bring your dad home. ’

‘I thought to myself: ‘Damn Roman, he’s in Nigeria now, you don’t even know where he is, how the hell are you going to bring him back? '

But he said: 'Don't worry, I will bring him back. ’

Does it sound like a gangster? He loves his players, he loves his players, he loves the football club and that's his standard. "
