Three things to do when taking office! Post: New coach Dyche bans Nottingham Forest players from wearing scarves and hats

Football

October 24th Nottingham Forest new coach Sean Dyche has officially started work. He introduced some of his signature team rules on his first day in office, but he also showed an unexpected "softening" side. According to the "Daily Mail" report, Dyche has maintained his ban on players wearing scarves and hats on the training ground, but surprisingly abandoned the "white sox ban" that he had previously strictly enforced at Burnley and Everton.

Dyche explained: "For God's sake, I let them wear white socks... My former players will definitely give me a beating on social media... But that's fair, isn't it? I have to give in somewhere." He reiterated that although white socks are allowed, neck gaiters and hats are still prohibited. Looking back on his time at Everton, Dyche has insisted that banning these items is just "common sense" and is to ensure "training is like playing".

Dyche revealed that boss Evangelos Marinakis was aware of the challenge and had communicated with him "very candidly" about it. Dyche said the current priority was "stabilizing the situation" rather than winning the Europa League. But he emphasized that this was only the "first step" and that neither he nor the players could accept an "ok" state and must "pursue more." He believes that the team is currently "kind of neglecting the basics" and needs to be re-injected.
