Anthony talks about refusing to join forces with James: I don t want to be a "supporting role" and I didn t understand business operations at that time

Recently, former NBA star Cameron Anthony talked about the reasons why he did not choose to join James and Wade to form the "Super Three" in his podcast program "7 pm Brooklyn".

"The reason why I didn't go to the Heat was that I didn't know enough about the business operations of the NBA at that time, and I admit this; but more importantly, I want to have something that belongs to me." Anthony admitted.

"When I was in Denver, I had my own team and my system. I didn't want to go and play for others and be the third or fourth. I'm not the kind of person who is willing to be a supporting role."

Anthony finally chose the New York Knicks, and he said that this team really gave him a sense of belonging.

"I came to New York because I needed that atmosphere. This is my place. The Knicks are like my family, this is my team, my city. At that time, I knew what I wanted."

"I thought that if I could open up our own things in New York, in the era when he (James) had already opened up, even if it was just a part... it would be very special. We used to talk about these things."

This reaffirm Anthony's persistence in "leader role". Although he has not won a championship in his career, for many fans, "melon" will always be the Melo who represents New York, full of personality, but never bows his head.
