Bill Simmons believes that No. 1 pick Cooper Flagre is reminiscent of Garnett and Duncan

Bill Simmons believes that No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg is easily reminiscent of NBA legendary superstars Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan.

Former Duke basketball genius Cooper Flagg is preparing for the NBA draft. He is waiting to be selected by the Dallas Mavericks as the No. 1 pick after an unexpected pick in May.

People are already looking forward to becoming the next superstar, so that sports journalist Bill Simmons compares him to two NBA legends.

In the latest episode of the Bill Simmons podcast, Simmons believes Flag will have the same level as Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan.

"I think he'll be very good," Simmons said. "I think he has a chance to reach Duncan and Garnett, and that's his cap." His guest, Chick Closterman, unexpectedly stated that Flag possesses the potential of former Seattle Supersonics player Detreff Schlumpf.

"I think he will have a career like Detrev Schlumpf," Klosterman said. "I think he will be a very good player for many years to come.
