Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is once again the champion – this time in a harness event held in his native Serbia as a horse owner.

The stoic Jokic could hardly suppress his emotions as his horse, Demon Dell 'Est, won the final stage of the annual Dužijanac event in Subotica, Serbia.

When his horse crossed the finish line, Jokic hugged his head with his hands in tears, immersing himself in the moment. He then jumped over the fence and celebrated on the track with his team, apparently still emotionally. In the winner's circle, Jokic helped lift his serve and sprayed the scent on the team and himself.

Jokic's passion for horses is well documented. His father, Branislav, runs a local horse harness racing club in the outskirts of Sonbor, Serbia.

After the Nuggets won the 2023 NBA championship, Branislav Jokic said in an interview with the Associated Press that although his son worked hard to train in order to enter the NBA, his mind has always been focused on his love for horses.

"He started to grow up, whether it was height or body size, and he began to realize that he could be a basketball player, but then he had a big wish. He would say, 'Dad, I want to be a rider. I once told him: 'Son, be a basketball player first, and you will become a great rider later.

It turns out that he can do both things at the same time.
