July 1, 28-year-old Belgian striker and Chelsea former player Musongda announced his retirement on social media, ending his 11-a-side professional football career. But Musongda said he will not stay away from football. The event he founded, VS1FC, is scheduled to be launched in 2026. He hopes to help top players who need the stage, especially those who have experienced difficulties such as injuries, to give them the opportunity to show their talents.

Musongda came from Anderlecht youth training and joined Chelsea with her two brothers in the summer of 2012 and was promoted from the youth training echelon. Since 2016, he has been loaned out many times and has played for Real Betis, Celtics, Waiters and other teams. He only played 7 times in the official match and scored 1 goal. His only goal was scored in the third round of the British League Cup against Nottingham Forest on September 20, 2017. In August 2019, Musongda underwent surgery for a knee injury. Doctors believe that his chance of returning to the field is only 20%, but he still resumed team training in December 2020 and played for Chelsea U23 in September 2021. In the summer of 2022, he left Chelsea freely and turned to Levante. He joined Cypriot club Anossesis in the summer of 2023. He left the club a year later and never found his next home, until now he announced his retirement. At the national team level, Musongda once represented Belgium's U15 to U21 teams, but never played for the adult national team.
