Guardian: Selling Maduaike is good for financial situation, and Chelsea thinks he is not improving enough

Arsenal has reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Maduec for £52 million. The Guardian pointed out that the sale of Maduaike is beneficial to the financial situation and that Chelsea believes he is not improving enough.

Maduaike has agreed to a five-year contract. In addition, Arsenal is also expected to step up its pursuit of Crystal Palace Eze, who have been looking for opportunities to increase the depth of the wing and have acted quickly after determining Maduec as a key goal. The appeal of the 23-year-old is that he is able to support Saka on the right and offer Arteta the option on the left. As Chelsea adds attackers such as Drapp, Gittens, Estewan and Joao Pedro this summer, Maduec hopes to seek new challenges as he has limited hopes of getting regular matches at Chelsea, and Kunda is also expected to join from Portugal Sports next year.

Chelsea was fined last week for violating fiscal fair play rules and therefore needed to increase revenue by selling players. The sale of Maduaik, who joined Eindhoven in January 2023 and earned a profit will help improve their financial situation.

And Chelsea believes that Maduec's progress is not enough. He has limited roles at the club's World Cup and is unlikely to participate in Sunday's final against Paris Saint-Germain.
