Not leaving? 40-year-old Ronaldo responded publicly! Confirmed not to participate in the Club World Cup: Despite receiving many invitations

Football

On June 7, 40-year-old legendary superstar C Ronaldo publicly responded to his future for the first time at a pre-match press conference representing Portugal to attend the UEFA League final. He confirmed that he would not represent the new team to participate in this summer's Club World Cup.

C Ronaldo said: "This doesn't matter, the national team is the focus. However, he has received many invitations, some are reasonable and absurd. It is impossible to take into account everything. This decision has been made - I will not participate in the Club World Cup, but I have received many invitations. I have contacted and talked with these clubs, but you have to consider short-term, medium-term and long-term plans."

As we all know, the contract for Ronaldo to win with Riyadh will expire at the end of June. But until now, the two sides have not confirmed their contract renewal. After another disappointing season of "the four majors are empty", Ronaldo was also revealed to be interested in leaving the team. The city rival Riyadh Crescent is considered its favorite next home because it can compete in this summer's Club World Cup. This means that Ronaldo can compete for another championship. From mid-June to mid-July this year, the first new version of the Club World Cup was held in the United States.

With Ronaldo's public denial of participating in the Club World Cup, this also means he will not transfer to any team participating in the Club World Cup, including Riyadh Crescent. If nothing unexpected happens, Ronaldo will most likely renew his contract with Riyadh. Previously, Victory Club had offered him a new contract for two years, and his annual salary was still more than 200 million euros.
