October 29th Arsenal captain Odegaard updated his column and talked about Arsenal, cup ambitions and his dream of participating in the World Cup for Norway.

Odegaard's column

Eze scored on Sunday. It was almost destined, wasn't it? It was a great shot, he showed very good technique, controlled the ball very well and finished the shot. I think that was a big moment for him and we were all really happy for him. We know he's the kind of player who can deliver goals and assists in crucial moments.

I've seen it too, he's our 11th different scorer in the league this season, which is what you want to see throughout the season. This is a real advantage for us. When you look at our team, goals are scored everywhere; everyone contributes and takes responsibility. To be fair, I think we've also seen over the last couple of seasons that we can spread goals throughout the lineup.

Of course we want to keep this momentum going and tonight's game could be another opportunity for people to step up and take a chance. We are determined to perform well in every competition this season and tonight that means the Carabao Cup. This tournament can move very quickly and if we win tonight we'll be in the quarter-finals and all of a sudden you can see the end of this tournament approaching.

This is a huge motivation for us to enter the competition. Everyone knows we want to win trophies and how important this is to us. This event is the first opportunity of the season to win a trophy. It's great that we have a lot of players eager to play. The level of training at the moment is very good and there is a lot of energy on the training pitch but nothing can replace playing games.

We have a stronger squad now and a lot of players competing, so I believe everyone will be ready if called up tonight. Everyone deserves to play, and we are united and hope to maintain this good momentum.

I would love to be a part of it, but I'm still trying to recover. It's going well and I've improved a lot. I've started to move around more and I've been running on the anti-gravity treadmill this week. It's nice to feel like things are going in the right direction and I can do more and more every day I come to the training ground. It's hard work and it's nice to feel progress - it gives you more motivation.

Tonight is our last game at the Emirates Stadium before three away games in a week before the international break. We've built some good momentum now, so let's keep it going for as long as possible. Speaking of international breaks, Norway have two important games in November and we know that if we can beat Estonia at home we will be in a very good position to qualify for next year's World Cup.

We are getting closer, but we must finish the job. We'll stay calm until it's done and hope we can make it because we feel like it's time. I have been looking forward to reaching the World Cup for too long. I'm super excited about it and hopefully we'll get it done next month.
