Parma hires 29-year-old Questa to coach
Parma Football Club appointed 29-year-old Carlos Cuesta as head coach, replacing Zivo, who left the team. Questa also became the youngest head coach in Serie A history.
Parma issued a statement on Thursday local time that it was coached by Carlos Cuesta, with a term of office starting from the 1st of next month and a contract period lasting two years. Questa, who only turned 30 next month, was previously an assistant coach to Arsenal head coach Arteta. He has become not only the youngest in Serie A history and the youngest head coach among the five major European leagues.
In February this year, when Zivo coached Parma, the team ranked 18th. The relegation situation was in jeopardy. However, the Romanian finally helped Parma complete the season with 16th place, successfully relegated and obtained an olive branch from Inter Milan, and re-submitted to the Blue and Black Corps, who had played for six seasons when he was a player.
news also pointed out that Questa was favored by Parma because she beat De Rossi, Girardino and others. The new season of Serie A will start on August 23.
