Post: England League s transfer deadline will be 4 hours ahead of the previous summer

Football

May 13th According to the Daily Mail, this year's Premier League summer window will be closed early.

It is reported that England's football clubs have been told that the transfer deadline will be 4 hours ahead of the previous summer transfer window. According to an insider of the FA, the change has been supported by the Premier League and the Champions League, aiming to ensure that the working mode of relevant personnel is more normal.

Usually, club and league administrators often need to work until after midnight. However, some club officials are concerned that the change could raise a range of problems, especially as it could lead to other national leagues continuing to trade after the England transfer window is closed.

In addition, although ideally, the transfer should be completed a few hours before the end of the window period, in reality, each hour is crucial for clubs that are eager to complete the last minute deal, and early deadlines mean that the effective time for the relevant staff is shortened.

It is understood that there will be two transfer windows this summer, due to FIFA's expansion of the Club World Cup. The first window lasts from June 1 to June 10, and the second window begins from June 16 and ends from September 1. The winter transfer window will be open from January 1 to February 2. It is understood that no decision has been made on the final deadline yet. The club usually has two hours to complete the transaction after the deadline, but all documents must be submitted to the FA by 7pm. In the case of introducing players from abroad, although the above provisions still apply, the club must meet additional FIFA requirements before midnight.

In addition, some other European leagues are also considering early deadlines. In March this year, it was reported that Premier League clubs were seeking to allow young players to loan to low-level league teams outside the transfer window. At present, the relevant discussion is still in progress.
