Jarrard Branswaite devoted his long-term future to Everton by signing a new five-year contract, the defender has previously attracted two offers from Manchester United. Manchester United took a blow as Jarrard Branswaite signed a new five-year contract at Everton to keep him at the club until 2030.

The 23-year-old centre-back has attracted attention from Manchester United during this summer and this window, but he chose to stay in Everton.

Manchester United issued several offers to England's national team players this summer, bidding £35 million plus additional terms and £45 million plus additional terms, but they were all rejected.

Everton's offer of up to £70 million made the Red Devils abandon the deal, and they instead signed Mattis de Liete from Bayern Munich for £42.9 million. Manchester United has rumored to have quoted Brahn Williams again, but this speculation has not accelerated and the deal never looks likely to be reached.

Branthwaite's decision was a major win for the Toffees, especially after he won the Young Player Award for the 2024-25 season, after he had won the Best Young Player and Best Player title in the 2023-24 season. After signing the new contract, the 23-year-old expressed his inner joy: "I'm so happy. We've been talking about this since the end of the season and now we're finally signed, I'm really excited." Brandt Waite attributes his decision to the club's trust in him and the number of games he's played in the past two seasons, which has led him to decide to stay and continue his player development.

He added: "I know this team. I feel the love the players have for me - we have a good team here - and the fans. Over the past few years, I've seen the impact of the fans on us as a team and how important it is to them."

"And, obviously, with the new stadium here, new ownership and new managers, it's an exciting project and I hope to be involved."

" Move to the new stadium together , and the first game at the new stadium, are things we all look forward to. We want to work hard again and fight for a good season. "

Everton head coach David Moyes expressed his delight at the deal, saying: "We are glad Jarrard decided to devote his future to us. He is only 23 years old and hopes his best years are still ahead."

"We believe he can play a huge role in an exciting new era for football clubs."
