As the 2025/26 season approaches, the season ticket prices of various Premier League teams have been exposed. While fans are looking forward to returning to the court and hoping to witness the team make history, some people are paying a much higher price than others.

Although Premier League clubs have increased their financial resources with the support of huge broadcast contracts, ticket revenue is still an important source of funds. Since the end of the epidemic, season pass prices have risen steadily.

Latest data shows that the most expensive season tickets in the Premier League this season are from Fulham. A general stand adult season ticket that can be renewed by phone or online costs up to £3,084, up £84 from last season. ——The data comes from The Athletic, which is the second most expensive season ticket than the Premier League, and Tottenham's ticket price is a full £861 more. Moreover, the first four high-priced season tickets all come from London clubs: Tottenham ranks second, Arsenal third, and West Ham United fourth.

Arsenal fans will pay £1,726 if they want to watch another season at the Emirates Stadium. West Ham United's season ticket price is £1,720, which is only £6 cheaper than the Gunners. However, it is worth mentioning that the Hammers have maintained the ticket price this season and are the only club in the top four to "freeze prices". By comparison, Manchester United's season pass price ranks lower, even behind Bournemouth and its city rivals Manchester City.

Manchester City's season pass price ranked fifth at £1,600 and continued to keep the ticket price last year unchanged. Although Manchester United's performance on the court was not satisfactory, it still raised the price of season tickets by 5%, and currently ranked seventh.

In response, Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada said that the price increase is to "offset the continued increase in operating costs." He said:

"We are very grateful to the fans, especially the season ticket holders, for their loyalty and patience. They are the core of the live viewing group. We understand the importance of their support for the team and strive to develop a fair and reasonable fare plan.

Based on the 11 consecutive years of price increase, we have risen by 5% in the past two seasons respectively. The new season will continue to be adjusted according to this proportion to cope with the continued increase in operating costs."

At the same time, the club with the most affordable tickets to the Premier League is Burnley. Their season ticket costs only £525, which costs only £27.63 per game on average; while Fulham’s season ticket is equivalent to £162.31 per game, the price difference is huge. The "entry price" of the overall Premier League season tickets rose slightly: the lowest season ticket averaged £807 and the highest £1,628, up 0.8% and 1.4% from last season. Sports Business Week pointed out that although ticket prices rose after the end of the epidemic, the increase this quarter was moderate, and many clubs introduced minimum attendance guarantee policies and provided installment payment options to cushion the pressure on price increases.

Fans united and spoke out: Liverpool Fan Federation, Spirit of Shankly, and other organizations called for joint appeals to criticize the rise in ticket prices that "make old fans unable to support." Manchester United Supporters Trust and FAB Fan Advisory Committee opposed the price increase, demanded a freeze, and pointed out that some areas will be changed to high-priced membership seats.
